A 68-year-old woman has successfully given birth to twins (male and female) at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
This news was confirmed in a statement released by the Chairman of LUTH’s Medical Advisory Committee, identified as Prof. W. L. Adeyemo. According to the statement, it was gathered that the lady who got pregnant for the first time through In vitro fertilisation (IVF), gave birth to her babies on Tuesday April 14.

Also, the woman is said to be the ‘oldest verifiable’ first time mother in Nigeria and in Africa.
