The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the highest electoral body in Nigeria. The commission is responsible for organizing and conducting elections in Nigeria.

Aside from conducting elections, INEC provides jobs for thousands of Nigerians.

For many job seekers, INEC is one of the best places to get a job. The commission offers various types of jobs and salaries that can range from N30,000 to N200,000 per month depending on experience and qualifications.

If you are one of the thousands of Nigerians who applied during the most recent INEC recruitment and have been wondering whether or not the shortlisted candidate has been released, then this article is for you.

Candidates will only be considered for the position if they meet all of the requirements. If someone claims to be an official with INEC and offers to assist you in getting your name shortlisted, do not pay them. It’s all a huge scam.

Is INEC Shortlisted Candidates List Out?

No, it’s not yet out, even though rumors are going around that the list is out, we advise you to wait for the official list from INEC.

The truth is that some people are just too eager to get their hands on the INEC-shortlisted candidate’s list. And because of this tendency, they will believe anything that comes their way. Even if you have been reading online that you need to pay money to check the INEC shortlisted candidate list please don’t fall into this trap as it could lead to fraudsters taking advantage of your desperation by scamming you thousands of naira in exchange for a fake list.

As of the time of this post, we have not gotten any official notification from INEC about the release of shortlisted candidates for the 2023 recruitment exercise. We will update this post as soon as we get an official release.

How many candidates are usually on INEC shortlist?

The number of candidates on the INEC shortlist depends on the number of vacancies available and the number of applicants.

For example, let’s say there are five vacancies in a department and ten applicants. The company can choose to shortlist five candidates or all ten. If they shortlist all ten, they’ll probably pick the five best ones. If they shortlist just five candidates, they’ll probably pick one person from each grade.

So if you’re applying for a position in more than one vacancy within a department, it’s worth applying for all of them even if you think you may not be suitable for some of them.

What does it mean when you are shortlisted by INEC?

When you’re shortlisted by INEC, it means that you’ve made it through the first round of the application process.

Shortlisting can be based on any number of criteria, but it’s most commonly used in recruitment processes to identify the top few candidates who are then invited to interview or complete other assessment tasks.

In some cases, shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a test or task before being considered for an interview. The purpose of this is to help employers make a more informed decision about which candidates should be invited for an interview based on their performance on the test or task.

If you’re shortlisted by INEC and then asked to complete a test or task before being considered for an interview, you’ll usually have between one business day and two weeks from when you were invited to complete the task.

How to Check INEC Shortlisted Candidates?

The INEC Recruitment Portal is the official website to check your name in the INEC Shortlisted Candidates. The portal is easy to navigate and user-friendly. To check your name on the list of shortlisted candidates, you can do it online or through your mobile phone.

Below are the steps to be followed:

  • Get a smartphone or laptop with an active Internet connection.
  • Open the web browser of your choice and go to https://pres.inecnigeria.org/. We strongly suggest that you make use of Chrome
  • On the left side of the homepage, tap Login.
  • Fill in your login information. That is, your email address and password.
  • Select the Shortlisted Candidates tab.
  • If your application was shortlisted for further consideration, you will receive a message of congratulations.

If you’re not shortlisted by INEC, don’t feel bad. There are many reasons why someone may not be on the list of INEC shortlisted candidates, and it’s often not because of your skills or ability.

If you’ve applied for a role before and didn’t get it, then it might be worth applying again. Employers often ask for specific experience or knowledge to help them find the right person for the job, so if you’ve improved your CV since your last application, then it’s worth giving it another go. You can also try applying at different companies or in different industries.

Conclusion

We hope that you found this article to be informative and helpful. Now that you know how to check the INEC Shortlisted Candidates list, you should keep an eye on naijaonlineguide.com so that you can be the first to know when INEC officially releases the list. You must keep in mind that any individual who claims to be an official with the INEC and asks for your name to be added to a list in exchange for money is a fraudster.
