- ND, NCE, HND Bachelor’s Degree (BSC) minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in any of the science disciplines listed below.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate.
- Ability to work with basic computer applications (e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

There are two main categories of job available at NNPC recruitment portal,
1. Graduate Trainee
- Here all Applicants for this category should not be more than 28 years of age and must have graduated not earlier than 2014.
- Applicant must possess any of the following qualifications in the disciplines listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree in First Class/Second Class Upper Division
- Bachelor’s Degree in Second Class Lower Division and a completed Master’s Degree
- HND (minimum of Upper Credit) with a completed Master’s Degree.
- Must have completed NYSC (has an NYSC discharge certificate) or possess NYSC exemption certificate as at when he or she is applying.
