Operatives of the Police command in the state have arrested a man identified as Okonkwo Sunday, 52, for allegedly emptying a can of a suspected toxic liquid substance on about 143 bags of garden eggs worth N729, 000.00 at Akwata sub-market of the Ogbete Main Market.
The arrest of Sunday comes after a report was made at the Central Police Station I’m Enugu State on April 8th, 2020.
However, Investigation to arrive at the real motive(s) of the suspect as well as apprehend and prosecute his accomplices to the crime is ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
We await further development as to the real motive of the apprehended man.
