A secondary school student was allegedly beaten by classmates in Rivers state.
According to a Nigerian lady, Miss Wokoma, the incident had occurred on Friday, the 13th of March.
According to the lady, the boy’s classmates beat him up without provocation.
When the boys were stopped from fighting, they were brought before the Principal of the School, Kings College of Commerce (KCC) secondary school in Buguma City, Asari Toru Local Government Area.
At the time, the victim was in excruciating pain, the Principal on sensing that the body was dying, ordered that the boy be sent home. According to Miss Wokoma, the Principal said ” this boy is dying here oh! come and carry him home before he dies in my office! If he wants to die he should go home and die at his house not in his office”.
The Principal did not inform the boy’s parents and he was simply taken home and dropped there. According to Miss Wokoma, the boy had been struggling since Friday… and finally, he gave up today.
The lady equally claimed that the son of the serving principal of the school was one of the culprits. However, since the boy, her nephew had been confirmed dead, the Principal and his son had fled the community.
