Tensions boiled over in the Big Brother Naija “All Stars” house after an ugly racial remark from contestant Doyin.
The controversy erupted when fellow housemate Pere entered Doyin’s room as she posed for photos with Ilebaye. Despite Doyin’s requests for Pere to leave, he remained in the room.
An incensed Doyin then shouted “You’re a chimpanzee, get out!” at Pere. The racially charged insult compared Pere to a chimpanzee.
Pere quickly retorted that if compared side by side in photos, Doyin would be the one considered the chimpanzee.
Footage of the inflammatory exchange soon went viral, igniting outrage from Big Brother Naija fans across social media. Many slammed Doyin for using an offensive racial slur targeting Pere’s appearance.
However, some leapt to Doyin’s defense, arguing Pere instigated the situation by refusing to exit the room when first asked.
The confrontation reveals escalating personality clashes and game tensions just two weeks into the Big Brother house. With emotions running high, further blowups seem imminent.
Both Pere and Doyin’s supporters staunchly back their favored housemate’s position in the dispute. But the pair may need to smooth things over to avoid a toxic environment.
