- On your smartphone, go to the INEC voters card verification portal
- Enter your State of Residence and Surname in the appropriate boxes.
- Enter the last seven digits of your Voters Identification Number (VIN) or your Date of Birth.
- Click on the “Search” button. The page will load and reveal the status of your voters card.
How to Check Voters Status via SMS
You can also check your voters status by SMS which is pretty fast. To do this, send an SMS containing your State of Residence, Last Name, and the last seven digits of your Voters Identification Number (VIN) to 081-7164-6879. For example, “Lagos, Peters, 7702123” to 08171646879. SMS are charged at the local network rate. Your SMS will be responded to within the next 15 minutes.
