Omah Lay is a fast-rising Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter. His birth name is Stanley Omah Didia and he was born in Port Harcourt.

Stanley Omah Didia, who is popularly known by his stage name Omah Lay, was born on the 19th of May 1997, in Port Harcourt. He obtained his primary school education in Port Harcourt. He also attended Comprehensive High School, Port Harcourt and obtained his secondary certificate,(WASSCE). He did his tertiary education at the University of Port Harcourt.
He was brought up in a family with a good musical background. Omay Lay got interested in music from a very tender age.
Omah Lay’s grandfather was a popular percussionist for the Igbo highlife musician, Celestine Ukwu, in the 60s. Celestine Ukwu had some popular hit tracks like “Igede”, “Ije Enu”, and “Money Palava”. Omah Lay’s grandfather died in 1977 and until his dying day, he kept playing the percussion for Celestine Ukwu.
His love for music kept on increasing as he spent more time with his father, who was a drummer, and a music lover.

Omah Lay began to produce music and doing rap songs in Port Harcourt when he was just 15 years old. He has been writing songs for several artists, since his teenage years.
Fews ago, he decided to write and sing his song. His first Record Label deal was in 2019, under KeyQaad. The signing propelled him to relocate from Port Harcourt to Lagos. He later left KeyQaad and signed a contract with Dvpper Music Record Label.

While in 2020, he dropped his debut album, 5 – track EP titled “Get Layd”. His 5 – track EP got serious attention from music lovers around Nigeria and beyond. It was later featured on Cool Fm 96.6 Fm radio station, during Tastemakers’ Chart. SoundCity Top 20 also featured his EP
