MTN beta talk is one of the best call tariff plans on the MTN network. It comes with a lot of amazing bonuses and affordable call rates. A bonus of 300% airtime bonus is usually given to any subscriber that migrates to the plan. 

It doesn’t end there, because MTN also gives 250% bonus airtime for every recharge of N100 and above and 150% bonus airtime for every recharge of below N100, made on the MTN beta talk tariff plan. National calls are charged at the normal flat rate of N24/minute (40k/sec), from the subscriber’s bonus and main account.

This plan also gives data bonuses to its subscribers, and the airtime bonuses on this tariff plan can be used for calls/SMS.

Charges For Migrating To MTN Beta Talk

There are no charges for migrating to the MTN beta talk tariff plan for this first time. Though, a subscriber would be charged a migration fee of N100, if he or she leaves the MTN beta talk plan and migrates back to the plan within 30 days.

MTN Beta Talk Code – Migration/Activation

To migrate to the MTN beta talk, one must be an MTN prepaid customer and subscriber. The MTN beta talk code is also needed for the migration process. So, the subscriber would have to dial the code: *123*2*6# or will need to send “BT” to 131.

There are no charges attached if it is the subscriber’s first time. Though, there might be charges if the customer opts out later from the MTN beta talk tariff plan and migrates back within 30 days.

  • MTN rewards its subscribers on the MTN beta talk tariff plan with a 150% bonus on every recharge they make that is below N100, and 250%/on every recharge above N100.
  • The bonus lasts for 1 week, (7days).
  • Daily 30 MB worth 50 subscriptions.
  • The call rate is 42k/sec and the SMS rate is N4/SMS.

MTN beta talk has two major balances, the main and bonus balances. So, for a subscriber to check how much balance he or she has left, the subscriber should simply dial “556#. Though, to check for how much free data is left, the subscriber should just dial *131*4#.

Opting Out From MTN Beta Talk Code

As a subscriber, if you are no longer interested in the MTN beta talk tariff plan, then you can decide to opt out. So, to opt out from the MTN beta talk tariff plan, follow the process below.

  • Simply text ‘Stop’ to *131*.
  • Or dial *400# and then press send.
  • One can also dial *123#, a list of various options will appear, from that list, then select option ‘2’.

You can also go ahead to select the new tariff plan of your desire.

How To Check Bonus On The MTN Beta Talk

There are several methods to check for your bonus on the Mtn beta talk tariff plan.

Method 1

To check for your bonus on the MTN beta talk, just dial *131*4#, and your bonus will be displayed. Though, to check for your data bonus, dial *559#, and your data bonus will be displayed.

Method 2

Using this method, all you need to do is to send ‘2’ as an SMS message to 131. After your SMS has been sent successfully, a message will be sent to you saying: “Yello! Your request was received successfully, you will receive an SMS shortly, and do not resend your request. Thank you!”

Method 3

The third method that you can use in checking your MTN beta talk bonus is by dialing *131# on your mobile phone. You will be redirected to the USSD menu, select option 4, and send. Your data balance will appear.

How To Check If You Are On MTN Beta Talk Code
