The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) traces back to the year 1952. Rev. Josiah Akindayomi founded the Church in Nigeria. And in 1990, the Redeemed Christain Church of God Bible school was founded. By 2008, the Church had over 14,000 churches and 5 million members in Nigeria and over 80 countries.
Presently, this Mega Pentecostal Church has over 20,000 parishes worldwide. Their headquarters is located at 1-5 Redemption Way Ebute-Metta, Lagos, formerly known as 1A Cemetery Street.
